Great English-speaking staff that is eager and happy to help you. I really struggled to find a place to live in Tokyo before them and they really helped me so much. They really went the extra step for me. Very grateful!

My agent was Kan san.  I am a foreigner with a Japanese spouse.

Their English support was exceptional!   Everything clearly explained.  Being a mixed family and buying a house in Japan while selling one in another country was a demanding task.   They made many trips to our remote residence and made everything perfect!

I recommend them 100%

First Step have been extremely helpful the entire way of searching for a property all the way to signing. As a foreigner in Japan I was worried that it would be difficult to buy but they helped make the process very easy and simple to understand.

I would definitely recommend first step to anyone looking to get a home as they are very friendly and work with you the whole way. They listen to what you are looking for and try their best to meet your needs without forcing anything on you if it isn't what you want.

Even after signing they also keep contact to ensure everything is smooth, First step feels very personal to work with and to me would be one of the best in the field. I can't thank them enough for their help.

In the course of your life, there will be people who will come along and make your life better in every way. This has been our experience in dealing with First Step Realty and some! I cannot say enough good things about our experience with them, but I will at least try😊

More precisely, we were having a very difficult time finding accommodation, seeing that Tokyo is not the easiest place for foreigners to find accommodation. I had reached out to many agents, and was really getting nowhere and fast, lol. That all changed when Thu replied to my internet query basically right away. From our first interaction, it was clear that she wanted to help us out in every way! She found us so many great options, she was always very responsive to my litany of messages, and she treated us with nothing but love and compassion, this is truth 😊👍 She is kind, caring, thorough, professional, and an absolute gem of a human being 😊 We truly do consider her like family at this point! Thank you so, so, so much for all of your help and support with everything, Thu, as truly our world is a better place because it has wonderful people like you in it😊❤️🙏🏼

We had a really good time with First Step.
Not only did they answer all of our questions very quickly but it really felt like they were going the extra mile for us.

Since we were moving with a pet we were worried we could not find any good apartments close to work or even close to Tokyo.
However, our Agent made it work and we now live in a beautiful apartment in Tokyo that even allows 2 pets and is in walkable distance to my office.

The bestest. Reliable company, clear and easy to communicate with. I had a very special case as I had 3 pets with me. It's nearly impossible for gaijin to rent house with pets, but agent-Thu made it. I am more than grateful for her help and support. ❤️

I have purchased a house in Tokyo with the help of First Step. When I first met Ben and Coco, they explained that their job is more service oriented rather than just focusing on sales. They repeatedly proved this thorough their knowledge of the Japanese housing market, construction and the various family localities in Tokyo. Each time we viewed a new property Ben would do a methodical inspection, looking for signs of problems and commenting on the quality of construction, finish, appliances, etc. This made it easy to understand various aspects when living with children in Japan. By giving good advice, he helped to narrow our search to find an family home that met our needs. Ben also helped through multiple rounds of negotiations.
Coco was great to work with who spent a lot time doing the administration and explaining the paperwork in English. She took her time and did multiple visits to make it easier of me to sign various necessary things needed to sort out the housing loan.
I don't think I would have been able to buy a house in Japan without their help. I now consider both Ben and Coco good friends and would highly recommend them to anyone that is searching to buy a home in Tokyo.
